A convenience store that appears only at 2:17 a.m. keeps shelves full of things people once lost.
On Lena's first night in the old district, the rain came down hard. At 2:17 a.m., she was awakened by a telephone ringing downstairs. Outside her window, a convenience store had appeared where there had been nothing before. A black cat at the entrance stared straight up at her. On the glass door was a sticky note, and written on it was the name of her sister who had vanished three years ago.
