A legendary map deliberately leads travelers to the wrong place unless they are willing to confess their greatest secret.
Lark bought a talking map from the black market, and the seller warned her: It never points to the right road. The first time the map spoke, it led her into a desert that should not have existed. In the center of the dunes stood her brother's old sword, with half a wanted poster tied to the hilt. Overhead, a raven spoke in her brother's voice: Do not trust the map, and do not trust me.
